We originally registered for/purchased the Chico pocket snack on the recommendation of a friend to use it for restaurants and when traveling. They were not wrong – we use it all the time when we go places where they will not be a high chair for our kiddo like single friends houses and great grandparents. It has also been a wonderful option for camping. We attach it to our sturdier camping folding chairs, and it makes a wonderful outdoor high chair. It folds up flat and it’s easy to stick into bag or suitcase. We have taken it all over the country on family vacations. It is especially easy to fold if you takeoff the piece that goes between their legs once they get a little bit more sturdy in a chair. But, it’s most frequent use in our house is our every day, all the time, attached to our dining chairs, high chair for toddlers and not quite tall enough big kids. Unlike other high chairs I can still fully push in all of the regular dining chairs, but have a bit of a boost so the toddler can sit up at a level that is comfortable for them to eat. We have bought a new one with each kiddo until they are the right height for a little booster on the seat just before sitting in a regular dining chair. Super super washable – I have more often than not just taken it outside and give it a good hose down after it gets particularly peanut buttery or sticky. All of the parts are dishwasher safe, but honestly take up too much room for that to be practical. I recommend this to all of my friends and I’m recommending it to you too.
