Chicco Digital Bottle Warmer & Sterilizer This digital bottle warmer boasts an impressive array of features that make it stand out and it is very to use! It can be used to warm wide neck bottles, narrow neck bottles, glass bottles, silicone bottles, milk bags, and food jars. The warmer can also be used to sterilize bottles, ensuring that your baby’s feeding equipment is clean and hygienic. The control panel features (mostly*) intuitive icons that make it simple to select the type of item you want to warm, as well as the desired warming method (QUICK or STEADY mode). Additionally, the “ ” and “-“ icons allow you to adjust the time settings with ease. The process for sterilizing is super easy. *I mention mostly intuitive icons because (to me) the milk bag icon, the different bottle types, and the content level icon are taking some getting used to. Another awesome feature of this bottle warmer is its ability to accommodate different starting temperatures for different types of items. Whether you’re warming up breast milk from the freezer, formula from the refrigerator, or baby food that’s at room temperature, this bottle warmer can handle almost all of it. There have been a few times I wish that the milk bags could be heated up from room temperature, but it’s not a big deal. ********************** Here are some basic instructions to get you started, however, the instruction manual is great! MILK BAGS INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Begin with the bottle warmer unplugged. 2. Add the necessary amount of water to the bottle warmer tank. For milk bags (2 to 9 ounces), fill up to level two. Note: Steady mode is the only mode available for milk bags. 3. Once the water is in the tank, plug in the bottle warmer and press the start/stop button to turn on the control panel. 4. Use the support tray to place the milk bag in the bottle warmer tank, then select the warming method by choosing the “milk bag” icon. 5. Select the content level by using the “ ” or “-“ icons to match the number of ounces you are heating up. The maximum amount for milk bags is 6 ounces. *Press the “content level” icon to confirm the amount. 6. Choose the starting temperature for the milk bag from “Starting temp freezer” or “Starting temp refrigerator.” Note that the room temperature setting is not available for milk bags. 7. Modify the default time using the “ ” or “-“ icons, then press the start/stop button to begin heating the milk bag. (*I found myself messing this step up in the beginning and hitting start which meant starting over.) BOTTLES INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Begin with the bottle warmer unplugged. 2. Add the necessary amount of water to the bottle warmer tank based on the type of bottle you are using and the mode you select: o For silicone bottles, use level two for all content levels (2 to 9 ounces). o For QUICK mode (2 to 5 ounces), fill up to level one. o For QUICK mode (6 to 9 ounces) and STEADY mode (2 to 9 ounces), fill up to level two. 3. Once the water is in the tank, plug in the bottle warmer and press the start/stop button to turn on the control panel. 4. Place the bottle in the bottle warmer tank, then select the warming method by choosing the appropriate icon: o WIDE NECK BOTTLE (also used for all silicone bottles) o NARROW BOTTLE o GLASS BOTTLE 5. Select QUICK or STEADY mode. 6. Use the “ ” or “-“ icons to select the content level, which should match the number of ounces you are heating up. The maximum amount for bottles is 9 ounces. *Press the “content level” icon to confirm the amount. 7. Choose the starting temperature for the bottle’s content from “Starting temp freezer,” “Starting temp refrigerator,” or “Starting temp room.” o Note that for silicone bottles, it is recommended to add three minutes to the default warming time. 8. Modify the default time using the “ ” or “-“ icons, then press the start/stop button to begin warming the bottle. (*I found myself messing this step up in the beginning and hitting start which meant starting over.) ********************** I have no reservations about wholeheartedly recommending this bottle warmer. I definitely wish I had gotten it sooner!
