The thread type is UNS (Unified National Special Thread) with a tolerance class of 2A/2B. A unique feature of this thread is that regardless of the diameter, the pitch is 40 threads per inch (TPI). The pitch and tilt adjustments are actuated by three 100 TPI (Threads per Inch) adjustment screws, enabling smooth, high-resolution movement. These adjusters feature a locking collar design and removable knobs. The MC-T2 has SM2 (2.035”-40) threads and includes 1 SM2 retaining ring and 1 Ø2-inch washer to fix optical components. In contrast, the MC-S2A uses nylon-tipped set screws to secure optical components, which can be tightened with a 2mm hex wrench or ball-head screwdriver.Compatible with mounting Ø2-inch (Ø50.8mm) optical components on the adjustment mount. The MC-T2 can mount thinner optical components (up to 6.5mm thick), while the MC-S2A is designed for thicker optical components (minimum thickness of 5mm).(4) The mount surface is equipped with 4 Ø6mm through holes, compatible with our PCM-S cage rods.
