Components can be connected by inserting one dovetail into another and tightening one or more fixing screws. There are two types of dovetail shapes: linear and circular. Linear dovetails allow matching components to slide before locking, offering flexible positioning while restricting degrees of freedom in other directions. Circular dovetails enable alignment of optical ports on different components, maintaining a single optical axis and minimizing user intervention.Many products in the Oeabt microscopic imaging series adopt a dovetail design, which can be matched with our own components or opto-mechanical elements from other manufacturers. For easy identification of dovetail compatibility, the product parameter table lists Oeabt’s existing dovetails and their key dimensions. Note: These dovetail models are exclusive to Oeabt products; other microscopy manufacturers may not follow this naming convention. It can be installed in the CSJ-D1.2B dovetail cage plate for quick insertion into or removal from the optical system.(2) The CSJ-D1.2B dovetail cage plate can be integrated into a 30mm cage system through cage rod through-holes. The CSA-D1.2B dovetail sleeve has an SM1 external thread at one end, which can be directly screwed onto Ø1 inch lens sleeves and other SM1 threaded components. The dovetail component installed inside can be locked with a 2mm wrench via the side fixing screw.(3) The adapter features a male Ø1.2 inch dovetail and C-Mount or SM1 external threads for mounting PMTs, scientific research cameras or other components.
